Deutsch: Das Wappen begegnet bereits in dem seit 1598 nachweisbaren und bis ins 17. Jahrhundert hinein benutzten Siegel der Gemeinde. Anker und Ruder deuten auf die Lage der Gemeinde am Rhein hin. Die Gemeinde besaß bis 1872 das gewöhnlich an Iffezheimer Bürger verliehene Rheinüberfahrtsrecht zwischen Iffezheim und dem linksrheinischen, bis 1796 badischen Beinheim. Nachdem im 19. Jahrhundert ein nicht zu deutendes geometrisches Zeichen, wohl das Fleckenzeichen Iffezheims, in den Siegeln abgebildet war, griff die Gemeinde auf Anregung des Generallandesarchivs im Dezember 1900 das seit dem 16. Jahrhundert belegte Wappen wieder auf, dessen Tingierung bei dieser Gelegenheit festgelegt wurde. Das damals in „natürlichen" Farben gehaltene Ruder wird seit 1966 rot tingiert. Die Flagge wurde am 16. Februar 1981 vom Landratsamt Rastatt verliehen. |
