Deutsch: Lauf gehörte zum Gericht Ottersweier der Landvogtei Ortenau. Nach dem Anfall der Ortenau an Baden 1805 und der Auflösung des Gerichtsverbandes wurde Lauf selbstständige Gemeinde. Nun erst konnte eine eigene Siegeltradition einsetzen. Das erste, um 1820 beschaffte Siegel der Gemeinde zeigte den schräglinksgeteilten Mittelschild des badischen Staatswappens von 1807, in dessen unteres Feld anstelle des sogenannten Zähringer Löwens der von zwei Trauben beseitete Kelch gesetzt war. Mit einer kurzzeitigen Ausnahme bringen die Siegel des 19. Jahrhunderts dieses auf den Weinbau in der Gemeinde anspielende heutige Wappenmotiv, das vom Generallandesarchiv im Jahre 1900 in Gestaltung und Tingierung festgelegt wurde. Die Flagge wurde vom Innenministerium am 6. März 1967 verliehen. |
