Object history
Deutsch: Das Gemeindewappen verbindet zwei auf die Geschichte des Gemeindegebiets von Malching Bezug nehmende heraldische Elemente. Der Bischofsstab erinnert daran, dass sich die Hofmark Malching seit dem 14. Jahrhundert im Besitz des Domkapitels Freising befand. Ein Freisinger Amtmann (Amann) hatte seinen Sitz in Malching. Das Domkapitel verkaufte die Hofmark 1734 an die Grafen von Baumgarten; deren Wappenbild zeigt einen aus dem Zaun wachsenden goldenen Löwen.
