Object history
English: The coat of arms of Obertraubling is divided per pale azure and argent, with two golden fleurs-de-lis arranged diagonally one above the other in the blue field. These lilies are derived from the arms of the Obermünster Abbey in Regensburg, which was the most important manorial lord in Obertraubling from the 9th century until the secularization in 1803. The lilies commemorate the centuries-long connection between the town and the abbey, which also had the parish church incorporated.
In the silver field, there is a red patriarchal cross with an extended middle bar. This symbol refers to the Holy Cross Monastery in Regensburg, which also held possessions in the municipal area since the 14th century.
