Deutsch: Ein für 1765 belegtes Fleckensiegel von „OMBTEN К A" (Kirch-heimer Amts) zeigt im Schild unter einer Hirschstange den Großbuchstaben O. Der Umstand, dass die nahegelegene Stadt Owen schon seit dem 15. Jahrhundert dieselbe Namens-Initiale im Siegel führt, dürfte zu einer Änderung des Siegelbildes von Ohmden geführt haben. Die Schultheißenamtssiegel enthalten spätestens seit dem 19. Jahrhundert ein Hufeisen, das als landwirtschaftliches, vielleicht aber auch als Glückssymbol zu deuten ist. Vor 1930 kam - vermutlich als bloßes Füllsel — der Stern hinzu. Für die altwürttembergischen Farben Schwarz und Rot entschied sich der Gemeinderat im Jahr 1952. Das Innenministerium verlieh das Wappen und die Flagge am 11. Dezember 1973. |
