Deutsch: Der silberne Göpel oben soll die verkehrsgünstige Lage der Gemeinde, in der zwei wichtige Bundesstraßen (B 85, B 11) zusammentreffen, zum Ausdruck bringen. Schwert und Pfeil sind Attribute des heiligen Martin, des Patrons der Pfarrkirche von Patersdorf, und des heiligen Sebastian, dem eine alte Wallfahrt in der Pfarrkirche gewidmet ist. Die aufgeschichteten Granitblöcke stellen einen bildlichen Bezug zur wirtschaftlich wichtigen Granitindustrie und zum Naturdenkmal des Pfahls her. Die Tingierung in Silber und Blau erinnert an die schon um 1300 nachweisbare landesherrlich-wittelsbachische Gerichts- und Grundherrschaft in Patersdorf und die Zugehörigkeit des Gemeindegebiets zum Herzogtum bzw. Kurfürstentum Bayern (Landgericht Viechtach). |
