| Object history |
Deutsch: Der goldene Halbmond stammt als redendes Symbol aus dem Wappen des Klosters Mondsee, zu dessen ältesten Besitzungen Rechtmehring gehörte. Das Kloster hatte bereits im Jahr 803 Güter in Moringa. Der gezäumte Pferdekopf ist die geminderte Form des Wappens der Grafschaft Haag, zu der das Gemeindegebiet früher gehörte. Das gezäumte springende Pferd war ursprünglich das Familienwappen der Gurren von Haag. Die Krümme des Bischofsstabes weist auf den heiligen Korbinian, den Patron der Pfarrkirche von Rechtmehring, hin. |
