Deutsch: Das Gemeindewappen entspricht dem Wappen der Niederalteicher Propstei Rinchnach, die von den Anfängen der Besiedlung im 11. Jahrhundert bis zur Säkularisation 1803 die Geschichte der Gemeinde prägte. Das alte Wappen der Benediktinerabtei Niederalteich, in Gold ein grüner Dreiberg, wurde kombiniert mit den gekreuzten Reuthauen, die die vom klösterlichen Stützpunkt Rinchnach ausgehende große Rodungsleistung der Niederalteicher Kolonisten im Bayerischen Wald versinnbildlichen. |
