Deutsch: Die Spaltung von Rot und Silber weist auf das Hochstift Augsburg hin, das 1610 die Herrschaft Ottilienberg erwarb und für den Sitz des Pflegamts den Ort Ruderatshofen wählte. Der gegitterte Schrägbalken ist das Wappen der Herren von Rotenstein. Es ist durch die farbige Abbildung in der Züricher Wappenrolle um 1330 und durch viele spätere Siegel überliefert. In der Kirche von Ruderatshofen ist an der nördlichen Chorwand ein großes, kunsthistorisch bedeutendes Tafelbild zu sehen, das um 1520 entstanden ist. Es stellt sehr detailliert das Geschlecht der Rotensteiner in Andacht dar in Verbindung mit einer Stammtafel und einem Votivbild. Die Herren von Rotenstein werden 1239 erstmals erwähnt. Ihre Stammburg lag bei Grönenbach. Sie waren stift-kemptische Dienstmannen und vor allem in Ebenhofen begütert. Die Familie ist 1562 im Mannesstamm ausgestorben. |
