| Object history |
Deutsch: Salgen gehörte zur Herrschaft Mindelheim. Der herschauende schwarze Löwe, ein Leopard, erinnert an die Herren von Mindelberg, die bis 1363 Inhaber dieser Herrschaft waren. Die Rosette stammt aus dem Konventwappen des Klosters Ottobeuren, das bereits 1097 in Salgen begütert war. Der blaue Wellenbalken symbolisiert die Lage der Gemeinde im Mindeltal. |
