Object history
Deutsch: Der Auerhahn steht als Sinnbild für die landschaftlichen Gegebenheiten der Gemeinde Seewald. Das Motiv wurde dem ehemaligen Wappen der Teilgemeinde Hochdorf entlehnt.
English: Seewald was established in 1975, when Besenfeld, Erzgrube, Göttelfingen and Hochdorf merged. Capercaillies are still living in the woods around Hochdorf. In the arms it's also symbolising the woods, which are covering more than three quarters of the municipal area.
