Deutsch: Das Balkenkreuz, Attribut des heiligen Georg, verweist auf das Patrozinium der Pfarrkirche von Sindelsdorf. Der Stern ist ein heraldisches Mariensymbol und erinnert an die frühere Frauenkirche, die profaniert wurde und als Pfarrhof genutzt wird. Der goldene Abtstab im roten Feld ist eine Minderung des Stiftswappens von Benediktbeuern und versinnbildlicht die historische Bedeutung des mächtigen Benediktinerklosters als Grundherrschaft im Gemeindegebiet. Von 1716 bis zur Säkularisation 1803 gehörte die Obmannschaft Sindelsdorf zum Klostergericht Benediktbeuern. Das Widderhorn stammt aus dem Wappen der Familie von Wildeck, die in Sindelsdorf reich begütert war und deren Besitz 1476 durch Kauf an das Kloster Benediktbeuern kam. |
