Object history Das rote Feld mit den silbernen Spitzen entspricht dem Wappen des Adelsgeschlechts der Laue, das noch im 14. Jahrhundert in Steinau begütert war, und dessen Name im Ortsteil Lauenteil fortlebt. Das Seerosenblatt weist auf den Wasserreichtum der Gemeinde hin.
