Deutsch: Die Feldfarbe Grün weist auf die Grafen von Henneberg, die in ihrem Wappen in Gold auf grünem Dreiberg eine schwarze Henne führten. Im Lehensverzeichnis von 1317 werden hennebergische Lehen in Unsleben genannt. Ihr dortiger Besitz kam 1368 an das Hochstift Würzburg. Der von Rot und Silber geschachte Balken ist dem Wappen der Truchsesse von Wetzhausen entnommen, welche die einst hennebergischen Güter in Unsleben als bischöfliches Lehen übernahmen. Ein Zweig dieser Familie war in Unsleben ansässig. Zugleich steht dieser Balken als so genannter Zisterzienserbalken für das in Unsleben begüterte Kloster Bildhausen, das 1156/58 gegründet und 1803 aufgehoben. Das Schloss stellt das Wasserschloss von Unsleben dar, das 1749 in den Besitz der Freiherren von Habermann kam und bis heute erhalten ist. Es ist ein besonders schönes Beispiel für einen ehemaligen fränkischen Rittersitz. |
