Deutsch: Das Forsthaus ist ein detailreich redendes Bild für den den in waldreicher Gegend gelegenen Ort Waidhaus. Obwohl in Waidhaus seit dem Spätmittelalter Märkte abgehalten wurden und der kleine Grenzort als Sitz eines Urbars-, dann eines Richteramtes im Pflegamt Treswitz belegt ist und im 18. Jahrhundert auch als Marktflecken bezeichnet wurde, sind keine Marktprivilegien überliefert. Ebenso fehlen ältere Siegel. Das heutige, auf einer vom Reichsheroldsamt begutachteten farbigen Zeichnung basierende Wappen wird erst seit der Wiederverleihung des Marktstatus durch König Ludwig II. im Jahr 1877 geführt. Im ersten Siegel wurde das Wappen nicht korrekt wiedergegeben. In der heraldischen Literatur findet sich das Wappen seit 1898 anfänglich mit einem Bauernhaus mit Hirschgeweih an der Vorderfront. Das heutige Dienstsiegel basiert auf Hupps Darstellung. |
