Deutsch: Der Würzburger Fürstbischof Julius Echter von Mespelbrunn (1573 bis 1617) verlieh Wülfershausen a. d. Saale 1575 ein Wappen. Es zeigte den heiligen Vitus, dem die Pfarrkirche geweiht ist, sowie das persönliche Wappen des Bischofs, einen silbernen Schrägbalken in blauem Feld, der mit drei blauen Ringen belegt ist. Dieses Wappen geriet im 19. Jahrhundert in Vergessenheit. Die Wiederannahme erfolgte 1970. |
