Der Wolkenschnittbalken stammt aus dem Wappen der Edelherren von Wettringen, welche ihren Stammsitz in Langenhorst hatten. Der rote Balken ist dem Schild des Herforder Stiftes entnommen und der Schwan aus dem Wappen des Fürsten zu Bentheim und Steinfurt. English: „Party per fess gules, Argent and Or, above a fess wavy gules and below an armed sable swan gules.“
The arms were granted on June, 21, 1938. The fess wavy (here called "Wolkenschnitt") based on the arms of the Lords of Wettringen, who lived in Langenhorst. The fess gules derived from the arms of the "Stift Herford" and the swan is taken from the chieftain of Bentheim and Lingen. Nederlands: niet gespecificeerd |
