Die beiden Lizenzen sind ähnlich und eine Weiterverbreitung darf unter Anwendung einer dieser beiden Lizenzen geschehen. Dies bedeutet, dass eine kostenlose, auch kommerzielle Nutzung ausserhalb der Wikimedia-Projekte sowie eine eigene Bearbeitung unter derselben bzw. einer ähnlichen Lizenz (Weitergabe unter denselben Bedingungen) und folgenden Bedingungen möglich ist:
