English: State flag of West Virginia from 1875 made by the Committee on Military Affairs and later adopted by the Legislature.
The flag was described as: "...The design is nine feet long, three feet wide, four diagonal bars (two red and two buff), with a white ground in the upper part of the right hand corner, with the State arms and motto in gilt."— Golden Weekly Globe, January 1, 1876 |
