English: Remarkable gravestone of a German major and two of his comrades, fallen in Sivry during the Franco-Prussian War (1870). The stone stands in the cemetery of Sivry, next to the church (municipality Sivry-Ante, Marne department, Champagne-Ardenne region, France). The text on the grave reads:
HIER RUHT IN GOTT DER KOENICHLICH PREUSSISCHE MAJOR IM SCHLESWIG HOLSTEINSCHEN ULANEN-REGIMENT FREIHERR CLEMENS ARTHUR VON FRIESEN, GEBOREN DEN 20 NOVEMBER 1826, TOEDTLICH GE TROFFEN 25 AUGUST 1870, BEI DER BASSE FERME AN DER SPITZE SEINER EHEMALIGEN SCHWADRON UND TAGSDARAUF ZU SIVRY VERSCHIEDEN, MIT IHM DIE ULANEN KARL GOTTHOLD RASCHKE GEBOREN DEN 12 JANUAR 1843, ZU WOLLSTEIN UND KLAUS DIECK GEBOREN DEN 11 OKTOBER 1845 ZU WORMSTEGEN IM GLEICHEN KAMPF FÜRS VATERLAND GEFALLEN Français : Remarquable pierre tombale d'un major allemand et deux de ses camarades, tombés à Sivry pendant la guerre franco-prussienne (1870).
