English: A copperplate engraving of Japanese deity “Giwon” (presumably a misinterpreted depiction of Gozu-Tennō, the God of Gion) by Bernard Picart based on a Japanese drawing (“d’apres des Desseins du Japon”), circa 1728. From an antique print marked “Tom VII, No. 23”. Cherrygarden collection, ex Antiquariat Steffen Völkel GmbH.
