Object history Nach dem Aufkommen der Handelsroute über den Gotthardpass im 13. Jahrhundert wurde der Ingenbohler Ortsteil Brunnen ein wichtiger Umschlageplatz für Waren. In neuerer Zeit ist Brunnen als touristische Destination bekannt. Der Ingenbohler Gemeinderat stimmte am 3. Oktober 1947 einem Wappen zu, das sowohl Ingenbohl als auch Brunnen berücksichtigt: Das Kreuz steht für Ingenbohl, der Nauen für Brunnen.
