Summary
Artist
Johannes (Jan) Voorhout (1647-1723)
Description
A portrait of a person from "Domestic Music Scene" by Johannes Voorhout (1674); this once was thought to be Buxtehude, but recent research in Kerala J. Snyder's book has denied this assertion. Most likely, the person portrayed was Johann Philipp Förtsch, an opera singer of Hamburg, friend of Reincken.
