↑The Library of Congress gives this as 1880-1930 (even though Dancy died in 1920). However, File:John C Dancy 1908.jpg is clearly the same image, and hence, we can date this to 1908, and state it (or something from the same photo session) was published in Cyrus Field Adams' 1908 text The Republican Party and the Afro-American and The National Magazine for October 1908, page 15.
