English: Mohammad Yazdi is an Iranian cleric who served as the head of Judiciary System of Iran between 1989 and 1999. In 2015, he was elected to lead Iran's Assembly of Experts, defeating Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, a former president, by a vote count of 47 to 24.
فارسی: محمد یزدی (زادهٔ ۱۰ تیر ۱۳۱۰ در اصفهان) روحانی شیعه و سیاست‌مدار ایرانی، عضو شورای نگهبان، دبیر جامعه مدرسین حوزه علمیه قم و دبیر شورای عالی حوزه‌های علمیه است. محمد یزدی نمایندهٔ استان تهران در دومین، سومین و چهارمین دوره مجلس خبرگان رهبری بوده و در چهارمین دوره برای یک سال به ریاست این مجلس رسید. وی که از دورهٔ دوم مجلس خبرگان رهبری تاکنون عضو آن بوده با ناکامی در انتخابات سال ۱۳۹۴ این مجلس از راهیابی مجدد به آن بازماند.

Français : L'ayatollah Mohammad Yazdi est un membre du clergé et un homme politique iranien. Il était à la tête du système judiciaire iranien entre 1989 et 1999, à la suite de l'ayatollah Abdolkarim Mousavi-Ardebili. C'est l'ayatollah Hashemi Shahroudi qui a pris sa succession.
