ADDENDUM: If it were 1903, he would have been with the Cardinals, who wore the words "St. Louis" on their jerseys. The Cubs in 1904 wore plain white jerseys with collars, as in this photo. Also, the original from the Chicago Daily News archive says "probably 1904".
