Español: Argentinosaurus Femur incompleto. Argentinosaurus es un dinosauro saurópodo, muy probablemente el más gigantesco del periodo Cretácico, no sólo de nuestro continente sino del mundo. El fémur completo medía aproximadamente unos 2,50 metros de largo, por lo que se calcula que este dinosaurio habria alcanzado los 10 metros de alto hasta la cabeza, 6 metros hasta la cadera y su masa corporal llegaría a las 45 toneladas o aún más. Los restos del Argentinosaurus provienen del Cretácio superior (entre 70 y 100 millones de años) de Plaza Huincul, Neuquén. |
