English: A miniature electro-mechanical positioning goniometer manufactured by Zaber Technologies Inc (http://www.zaber.com). The specific model number is LMG40. This actuator utilizes a worm drive with a partial worm wheel fixed to the underside of the stage platform. A worm in the base is rotated via a bipolar stepper motor or via a manual control knob fixed to the back shaft of the stepper motor. The stepper motor must be controlled by an external controller connected to the cable end shown.
