uu PAP <ENGLISH> Warsaw, March 3, 1948. The distruict Military Court in Warsaw held a lawsuit against Witold Pilecki and his colleagues, namely Maria Szelagowska, Tadeusz Pluzanski, Ryszard Jamontta-Krzywicki, Maksymilian Kaucki, Witold Rozycki, Makary Sieradzki and Jerzy Nowakowski. Pilecki, Home Army (AK) soldier who formed a Polish underground state clandestine network in Auschwitz Nazi death camp was accused of cooperation with the intelligence service of a foreign power and cooperation with the 2nd Corp. Judges chaired by Lt. Colonel Jan Hryckowian sentenced the main defendant to death. The punishment was meted out. Pictured: Pilecki testifies. uu PAP </ENGLISH> |
