Summary

Description Polyurethane foam used illegally in a Canadian pulp and paper mill, in a cable tray through-penetration in a wall surrounding a service room, which is required to have a fire-resistance rating. Instead of this, there should be a proper firestop, where the installed configuration is bounded by an appropriate certification listing. An example would be a firestop mortar. The rating of this wall was ZERO at the time this picture was taken, resulting in a code violation.
