Publicity photo of actor and Chicago television personality Ray Rayner. Rayner was a participant in the fair for many years, shown here in 1977. From the 1950s through the 1970s, the International Pet Fair was held at Chicago's International Ampitheatre (now razed). Chicago Tribune 19 September 1954 "At Pet Fair Claude Kirchner in one of the popular TV stars who will appear in person at the Pet fair in the International Ampitheatre beginning Tuesday and running thru..." (pay per view). Rayner also appeared in stage productions and television commercials in addition to his roles on local television shows.
