En ellas estamos Luis Carlos Galán, Rodrigo Lara, Gabriela White de Vélez, Nancy Restrepo de Lara, Hernán Vieira y yo. En una de ellas sólo aparecemos Luis Carlos, Rodrigo, Gabriela y yo. Ellos tres fueron sacrificados por la violencia. Los dos primeros, con quienes fundamos el Nuevo Liberalismo, fueron asesinados por la alianza entre la mafia y la política que destruyó las esperanzas de Colombia en la década de los ochentas, y Gabriela, quien encabezaba nuestra diputación en la Asamblea de Antioquia, fue secuestrada y asesinada por las FARC en 1991, cuando estaba reunida la Asamblea Nacional Constituyente, de la cual yo hacía parte.
