 This is a retouched picture, which means that it has been digitally altered from its original version. Modifications: Addition of the Dharma Wheel on top of the lions, based on the reconstitutions from:

Comment: the thickness of the portions of the spikes as visible in the Sarnath Museum (Remains of the topmost wheel in the Sarnath Archaeological Museum (17 February 2019).) imposes a correspondingly minimum thickness of the spikes overall.
Also a few details: correction of the head of the lion to the right + restoration of the central peg of the central wheel of the abacus. The yellow background was extracted from Sarnath standing Buddha, by Gary Todd. The original can be viewed here: Sarnath capital.jpg: . Modifications made by पाटलिपुत्र (talk).
