| Description |
English: The sky as seen from the latitude of Rome at local solar time midnight between Dec 31, 2021 and Jan 1, 2022. Sirius culminates at midnight local solar time on that day of the year. Created with Stellarium, set to LST timezone. ASP = anti solar point. The midnight culmination is invariant of the observer's location on the northern hemisphere if local solar time is used. Towards the official timezone-time, local solar time varies depending on the longitude within the timezone by a few seconds to up to 3 hours. |
