Summary
DescriptionStadioPartenopeo.jpg | Stadio Partenopeo, later Stadio Giorgio Ascarelli then Stadio Vesuvio in Naples, Italy. The venue was built in 1930 and hosted the home matches of S.S.C. Napoli until 1942. It was amongst the venues of the 1934 FIFA World Cup held in Italy. The stadium was destroyed in 1942 by the Anglo-American bombing and there are no longer hints of its existence. The only heritage of it is the name of the district which is commonly known as "Rione Ascarelli" (Ascarelli District) | ||||||||||
