Description
English: The flag of the Korean Commander-in-Chief at Kang Hoa, Korea, June 11, 1871. Captured under fire, during the attacks on the Korean forts, by Privates Purvis and Brown of the detachment of Marines under Captain Tilton. This detachment was part of the landing force of from the squadron of Rear Admiral John Rodgers. This flag is in the Naval Academy Collection. (Courtesy of the U.S. Naval Academy)
