Summary

Description

Iconic Australian folk musician Ted Egan served as Administrator of the Northern Territory from 2003 to 2007. Ted has released 28 albums, mostly themed around outback life, history and Aboriginal affairs. He has been a consistent performer and tourer with his choice of instrument being an empty beer carton played by tapping with his hands.

Ted is very keen to see the preservation of the remaining 40, out of an estimated 300 Aboriginal languages in use in 1788. His kit Kutju (Go forward) Australia, is an attempt to promote the singing of the Australian national anthem Advance Australia Fair in an Australian Aboriginal language.
