English: 8 Ampton Road, Birmingham - Augurio Perera's house in Edgbaston, upon the croquet lawn of which he and Harry Gem invented the modern game of lawn tennis between 1859 and 1865. A blue plaque commemorating the event can be seen on the front of the building.
