Description

The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Terra satellite captured this natural-color image of two tropical storms in the Indain ocean on May 10, 2013. The one south of the equator is Tropical Storm Jamala, while the one in the north is Tropical Storm Mahasen.

This photo clearly shows that Tropical cyclones spin oppositely in either half of the equator.
