Summary
| Description |
English: Bovard Hall on the University of Southern California campus, shortly after its construction in 1921. The corner closest to the viewer became the location of the famous en:Trojan Shrine (a.k.a. "Tommy Trojan" statue). The automobiles in front of the building indicate that, at that time, University Avenue (later renamed Trousdale Parkway) was a public street. It was closed to traffic and became a pedestrian walkway in December 1953. The streetcar tracks that once ran the length of University Avenue had been removed or paved over several years earlier. |
