Description
English: View of the eastern sky for an observer located on July 5th, 1054 at 3:15 CET at a location situated at latitude 50°N and longitude 9°E. On this day, the supernova 1054 was observed for the first time. In their immediate proximity the waning crescent moon stood. The planet Mercury could be seen just above the horizon. The star map also includes the ecliptic and a line for the elevation of 10° above the horizon.
