Object history
Deutsch: Der halbe Adler, der sich in vielen friesischen Wappen findet, weist auf die Bedeutung des freien friesischen Land Wursten hin. Die Tanne als Sinnbild für Holz und Wald verweist auf den Ortsnamen der ehemaligen Gemeinde Nordholz, die mit der Samtgemeinde Land Wursten zur neuen Einheitsgemeinde zusammengeschhlossen wurde. Der silberne Wellenbalken soll auf den Strand und den Badetourismus hinweisen. Das goldene Kleeblatt im grünen Schildfuß symbolisiert die fruchtbaren Marschen im Gemeindegebiet.
