Deutsch: Die zwei Fichten sind redendes Bild für das Ortsnamenbestimmungswort Forst und zugleich Sinnbild für die geografische Lage der Gemeinde am Ebersberger Forst. Das Kreuz, Zeichen des heiligen Silvester, verweist auf den Nebenpatron der Pfarrkirche Mariä Heimsuchung und auf die örtliche Besonderheit der im 15. Jahrhundert gegründeten Silvesterbruderschaft, die mit Grundbesitz ausgestattet und mit einer Wallfahrt verbunden war. Der heilige Silvester galt vor allem als Viehpatron. |
