Deutsch: Der Adlerrumpf stellt sowohl den Hohenzollernadler als auch den Reichsadler dar und weist auf die Markgrafen von Bayreuth und die Reichsstadt Nürnberg, die Herrschaftsträger im Gemeindegebiet waren. Die Farben Gold und Schwarz sind die Farben des bambergischen Bistumswappen und erinnern an die Beziehungen zum Bistum. Der Gegensparren ist dem Wappen der Nürnberger Familie der Haller von Hallerstein entnommen, die sich um den Bau der Kirche Verdienste erworben hat.
