Deutsch: Görisried ist eine Rodungssiedlung. Darauf weist die Rodungshaue im Gemeindewappen hin. Das Fürststift Kempten und das Hochstift Augsburg teilten sich die Landeshoheit sowie das Niedergericht. Das Hochgericht lag beim Fürststift Kempten. An die beiden ehemaligen Landesherren erinnern das hochstiftische Wappen gespalten von Rot und Silber sowie das Wappen des Kemptener Abtes Rupert Bodman (1678 bis 1728). Er führte in seinem Wappen in Gold einen schwarzen Bock. Sein Wappen ist in der Kirche von Stadels, einem Ort im Gemeindegebiet, zu sehen. |
