Deutsch: Das Schloss Mespelbrunn, ein Wasserschloss in der Gemeinde Mespelbrunn, steht in einem abgelegenen Seitental des Elsava-Tals im Spessart. Das Schloss ist seit dem frühen 15. Jahrhundert im Besitz der Familie Echter von Mespelbrunn. Erbaut wurden die ältesten Teile 1427, das heutige Aussehen entstand überwiegend zwischen 1551 und 1569.
Durch den Film Das Wirtshaus im Spessart mit Liselotte Pulver im Jahre 1958, wo das Schloss als Drehort diente, erreichte es eine Überregionale Bekanntheit. Die jährlichen Besucherzahlen liegen bei knapp 100.000.
English: The Mespelbrunn Castle, a moated castle on the territory of the town of Mespelbrunn, is situated remotely in the Elsava valley in the Spessart (between Frankfurt and Würzburg). Since the early 15th century it has been owned by the family Echter of Mespelbrunn. The oldest parts were built in 1427, the current appearance was created from 1551 to 1569.
The castle was location of the 1958 German comedy film The Spessart Inn with the famous German cinema actress Liselotte Pulver. Consequently it gained nationwide popularity. It is one of the most visited moated castles in Germany and is frequently featured in tourist books. The annual numbers of visitors are just under 100,000.
فارسی: قلعه مسپلبرون (آلمانی: MSchloss Mespelbrunn) دژی قرون وسطایی است که در شهر مسپلبرون و بین وورتسبورگ و فرانکفورت آلمان قرار گرفته است. این قلعه در یک منطقه جنگلی-دره‌ای و در کنار یک رودخانه می‌باشد. قدیمی‌ترین بخش ساختمان متعلق به سال ۱۴۲۷ میلادی است.
Français : le chateau de Mespelbrunn, un château entouré de douves sur la commune de Mespelbrunn. Ce château se trouve sur un lieu retiré de la vallée de l'Elsava dans le massif de Spessart, entre Frankfort et Würzburg. Depuis le début du XVe siècle, il est la propriété de la famille Echter de Mespelbrunn. Les plus anciennes parties du château datent de 1427. Son aspect actuel de travaux réalisés entre 1551 et 1569.
Ce château a été en 1958 le cadre de la comédie allemande Das Wirtshaus im Spessart (l'Auberge du Spessart), où joue la célèbre comédienne allemande Liselotte Pulver. Ce film a donné une grande célébrité au château, qui est le château à douves le plus visité d'Allemagne, avec 100 000 visiteurs, et est souvent inclus dans les guides touristiques.
