Frankenweenie is a 2012 American 3D stop-motion animated supernatural comedy-horror family movie directed by Tim Burton. It stars Charlie Tahan, Martin Short, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Landau, Atticus Shaffer and Winona Ryder. It was nominated for many awards including the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. It was released on October 5, 2012. Roger Ebert gave the movie 3/4 stars. It is a remake of a 1984 short film by Burton. It was released by Walt Disney Pictures.
