Gareth James Edwards (born 13 July 1975) is a British movie director, producer, screenwriter and visual effects artist. He is best known for directing the movies Monsters (2010), Godzilla (2014) and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016). He has had small acting roles in Rogue One and Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017).
Edwards was born in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, England. His parents are from Wales.[1]
