Das Alte Rathaus am Cardenap 1 in Gifhorn wird auf 1562 datiert. Es ist ein Fachwerkbau mit reichem Schnitzwerk. Heute befindet sich die Gaststätte "Ratsweinkeller" in dem Gebäude.
Das 1546 unter Herzog Franz (1539–1549) errichtete Kavaliershaus als Fachwerkbau mit Steinfront gilt neben dem Schloss als wichtigster Profanbau Gifhorns.
