Giuseppe Farina

Emilio Giuseppe Farina, also known as Giuseppe Antonio "Nino" Farina (Italian pronunciation: [dʒuˈzɛppe ˈniːno faˈriːna]; 30 October 1906 – 30 June 1966) was an Italian racecar driver.[1] He did Grand Prix motor racing. He is famous for his 'straight-arm' driving style, which many other drivers copied. He was the first ever Formula One World Champion.[2]

He was born in Turin. He received his doctorate in law from the University of Turin.[1] He died when he accidentally crashed his car in Aiguebelle, France.
